SITUATION BEFORE THE CONTRACT AND CLIENT REQUIREMENTS
The municipality was using two expensive and inefficient crude oil boilers
to heat the elementary school and one kindergarten (2 x 230 kW). The
schools use 300 MWh annually.
As the municipality is doing works to extend the school facilities, the
predicted new required heat is 430 MWh annually.
GGE built a new boiler room to house the biomass boiler, alongside a
storage facility for wood chips, adjacent to the school.
The biomass boiler of 250 kW capacity will be connected by pipeline to
the existing boiler room. One of the existing boilers will be kept as a
reserve to cover peaks in demand. The combined new heating power is
More efficient, reliable and eco-friendly system that meets clients’ new needs.
