Thermana Laško

SITUATION BEFORE THE CONTRACT AND CLIENT REQUIREMENTS

Thermana Laško is one of the biggest thermal baths in Slovenia with an upscale hotel‒wellness centre complex and a medical program.

Thermana consumes 15,000 MWh of heat energy each year.

The client was using natural gas as energy source for heating and had difficulties with a cogeneration (CHP) unit operating only 1,000 hours per year.

GGE SOLUTION

GGE installed an optimal cogeneration (CHP) unit on natural gas, 800 kW of
electricity and 856 kW of thermal power.

Heat efficiency is 45,05% and the overall efficiency is 87,16%.

GGE sells heat energy to client and monitors the system through GGE‘s
central control system (web access) in real time.
